Heterotrophs
- Heterotrophs are organisms that receives its energy from complex organic structures.
- There are three categories of heterotrophs: herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores.
- Herbivores gain their nutritional requirements from plant structures.
- Carnivores gain their nutritional requirements from consuming herbivores, or other carnivorous members.
- Omnivores consume both plants and other animals.
- Some major heterotrophs that reside the Northeastern Asian Forest are Asiatic black bears, gorals, lynx, otters, and red deer.
